I’ve been looking at and thinking about self image pictures this week, notably having a clear view of oneself.

I started thinking about this energy, the themes and pictures around it, last week while exchanging readings with a fellow clairvoyant, a colleague and friend. There was an energy that came up in the reading: I saw pictures around old illusions cracking like the hall of mirrors in the famous scene from the Orson Welles 1947 film, ‘The Lady From Shanghai’.

What’s it like to teach others how to turn on and use their psychic abilities?

I get to work with people from all over the world who are interested in learning how to turn on their own psychic abilities in a safe way, with skilled teachers who’ve been practicing and working with their own clairvoyant abilities for many years. I love my job!

The demand to predict the future is intense, and often invalidating.

When you require predictions from outside of you for what is going to happen in the future, you invalidate your own spirit’s ability to see, know, and most importantly, create. You give away your power to create your future.

It’s not fun to be psychic if you don’t have control over your abilities.

When you can’t control how your psychic abilities are working, it can feel unsafe to be psychic. You might even feel like psychic abilities aren’t a positive creative thing to have in the first place.

Everyone is born with the ability to see energy.

The ability to see with the inner eye, which is also known as the 3rd eye, 6th chakra, clairvoyance - is available to all.

This is a creative ability, built into our energy system, part of our spiritual anatomy. It’s the software that comes with having a body. Many people have used this spiritual ability since they were born without thinking too much about it.

Just when I thought I’d finally been getting the hang of it, it’s time to take another leap forward in learning how to trust.

I am specifically talking about trusting myself, and trusting that I am supported in my life. In other words - knowing that no matter what, my spirit’s got me, and my body knows what to do. Learning to trust myself is a daily practice that began when I chose to make a commitment to my own growth and healing. Since that time, I’ve become quite used to trusting myself in so many important ways. When it’s time again for me to take a step forward, take some chances, and be vulnerable - I realize I’ve got another round of trusting to do.

Have you ever gone through a time when suddenly you can see what’s in front of you more clearly?

I’ll never forget the first time I saw through some of what had been making it difficult for me to see what was right in front of me.

I was in my 4th grade Catholic school classroom, sitting in the midst of an emotional battlefield happening between a nun and another child my age. It didn’t feel safe to be in a body in that room during this battle. But then I felt as if a filter that had been blocking my ability to see what was happening, suddenly lifted

If you want to have a more colorful life, learn how to use your clairvoyant ability.

Clairvoyance is the spiritual ability to see energy clearly. You were born with this - it’s the ability to see more than what is just in front of you, or presented to you. Clairvoyance makes it possible for you to see deep into a situation or energy, including your own, and to see the truth that might not be visible otherwise.

Ever since childhood, I’ve been deeply committed to having my creativity in my life.

As a young woman freshly graduated from art school, I created a fashion and costume business, which was my dream. I was making a living as an artist and designer, and hanging out with artists of all kinds. It was fascinating and fun, and exactly what I’d set out to do.

But I was often invalidated and insecure about myself and my creations, and had the feeling that I wasn’t good enough.

As a psychic teacher, people often ask me which books I read to learn about chakras, the aura, and psychic abilities.

I didn’t learn about these things from reading a book, so I offer my next best advice: ‘if you really want to learn about chakras and read auras, take the clairvoyant training’ I say. Yes, but which books, they ask, surely there have got to be books that will help me be psychic.

You already are psychic. It is helpful to know that you cannot learn how to give a psychic reading from a book.

How did you know you are psychic?

I've been asked this more times than I can remember. Though the question is often directed at me personally, it’s really more about the person asking it. Maybe she is interested in psychic energy and abilities, and has probably had some experiences with them. There is a desire to know more. Often the questioner is trying to make sense of their experiences: are they real?

Before I ever knew what it meant, I was already psychic, but I wasn't yet a conscious psychic. The experiences I'd had weren't real to me.

Everyday is an adjective that means commonplace, ordinary, or normal.

You are psychic every day, and being psychic is an everyday thing. It's normal and human to be so, and you were born this way.

The great thing about being psychic is that there's plenty of it to go around. Because being psychic is within each of us, there is no shortage of psychics on earth. You can be psychic your way, and I can be psychic mine. Nobody gets to tell you or me that we are doing it wrong.
