Updating my agreements with myself
Agreements, among other things, make the world go round.
Every aspect of life has agreements attached, both conscious and unconscious ones.
Conscious agreements include the agreement to speak the truth, and to hear that truth.
Who made the rules you follow?
We are all, each of us, fortunate to know different kinds of people.
It can be so much fun to hang out with friends and family, bounce ideas off of each other, share our lives and our thoughts, and be part of a group of people, a community. There are many amazing people to meet and get to know. No two humans are exactly alike, and we need the differences in opinion, outlooks, likes and dislikes, that we bring to each other.
Emotional prosperity and well being
Emotional prosperity is about having permission to feel your own true emotions, without judging what you feel.
Happy emotions are fun to feel, and are seen as being superior to other more challenging and painful emotions. Sometimes we condemn our more difficult feelings as being bad, or as indicators that there is something wrong with us.
We might feel shame about them, as in "I shouldn't feel that way about __________, I'm ungrateful, unkind, or ungracious for feeling this way".
Have your space by being who you are
When you give yourself the freedom to be exactly who you are, you have space.
When you allow yourself to take up space without having to explain yourself to anyone else, you have enough room to breathe and to be. You have the right to exist, and you know why you’re here.
You are here to learn who you are. This isn't anyone else's job, only you can do it. You have permission to make your own decisions without waiting for approval from anyone else, when you choose to be yourself.
The truth and who gets to tell it
Whose truth are you following? Who do you believe?
Do you need me to agree with what you believe? You might believe something is your truth, but that doesn't mean it's mine too. Is there room here for us to disagree, peacefully?
When a belief becomes The Truth, conflicts erupt. If your truth doesn't match the truth of another person, and there's no space for both truths to exist, what happens?
Spiritual agreements are part of everyday life
I was first introduced to spiritual agreements in the spring of 1999, when I joined the clairvoyant training at a psychic school in Chicago.
I joined the training because I wanted to learn how to turn on my own clairvoyant abilities safely, so that I could see and read the energy of people, situations, and most importantly, myself.
