What you can imagine is real.

Every single human made creation you can think of started with someone’s imagination.

One of the most important abilities any of us has is the ability to imagine, visualize, and dream. We each literally make stuff up, every day of our lives.

Even if you and I never meet or see each other’s creations, we give to each other when we create something from within ourselves.

You don’t have to call yourself an artist, or want to be one, in order to make your art.

Nobody else has to see or validate that you made something, it can be your own personal creation.

The demand to predict the future is intense, and often invalidating.

When you require predictions from outside of you for what is going to happen in the future, you invalidate your own spirit’s ability to see, know, and most importantly, create. You give away your power to create your future. If you get stuck in believing that others outside of yourself have this power, they will gladly choose for you.

Each of us has dreams, desires, and wishes.

The arrival of consciousness is often preceded by a period of confusion, destruction, and uncertainty.

Consciousness has even been known to bring sudden upsets and changes along in its wake. Things may not go according to plan. Your old friend, Doubt, shows up and wants a place to stay.

People keep doing irritating things, such as filling the oceans with noxious poisons and taking the whole planet hostage. It’s easy to get mired in the muck, and you begin to wonder if anything can resolve this whole mess.

A recent post at this blog, ‘Who made the rules you follow?’, examined some of the unwritten social rules that we follow, both consciously and unconsciously.

These rules are agreements by which we live our lives. As we have seen throughout human history, breaking a social rule can lead to punishment ranging in seriousness from being ostracized or shunned, to excommunication, banishment, imprisonment, or even execution.

Despite the threats of punishment, there are many who broke the rules, and thereby transformed the old agreements.

Some psychics proudly proclaim their accuracy in making psychic predictions.

There is a great demand for predictions about the future, especially when everything is changing so rapidly that it's hard to keep up. People want to know what’s going to happen next, and when. Psychics are expected to predict the future, and this is what a lot of people think a psychic reading is supposed to be about.

Human beings fear the unknown because we cannot control it. For that matter, we have no control over what we already know, but that doesn't stop us from trying to exert all of that pointless control.

It’s not a throw of the dice, or a mere coincidence that you were born with the talents and skills you have.

You might have accepted your gifts as being part of who you are. You’re right about this, but there’s more to look at here. Each of the talents you’ve opened up and developed has given to you in more ways than you might validate for yourself. Each has been a gift you had to choose to acknowledge, then open up and use.

In order to use your gifts and abilities, you had to do some work.

Do you have the nerve to demand peace from yourself?

People who have the desire to end their inner wars, will be on the front lines of peace. The fight for peace begins within each of us. When you declare a ceasefire within yourself, you bring a peaceful vibration with you everywhere you go. It can be that easy, and there’s no need to be in effort at all.

There is a catch. The hard part is that you actually have to do it. It’s easy to set new intentions, and another thing entirely to do whatever difficult soul searching work it takes to carry them out.

My best creative ideas don't show up when I'm in effort.

I cannot be trying hard in order to have brilliant ideas flowing. If I want gorgeous inspiration to show up and grace me with its presence, I have to relax and let go of any sticky desperate effort energy.

Inspiration is energy, and so are all the beautiful fun ideas that show up. Sometimes I get my best ideas while sitting in my meditation chair, eyes closed, breathing and grounding and releasing old energy. Regular meditation also helps me to have the ideas that show up, instead of judging them or immediately saying ‘no’ because I run into an unconscious fear about my ideas.

Revolutions throughout history have a reputation for being loud, violent, bloody, and not always leading to a reliable outcome, depending on your point of view.

Revolutions come in many forms, and each one is unique. The word ‘revolution’ itself has a number of definitions, including this one: “a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something: a change of paradigm”.

No matter your current age, you have lived through some form of revolution. In the early 21st century, you will continue to do so daily. Transformation and evolution are happening swiftly, all around us, all over the world.

It may begin with a wish, a new picture for a better way of living.

Perhaps there is a deep desire to let go of the status quo, because it simply doesn’t work anymore. It’s time to get out of the way – here comes the future. It’s evolution, baby!

Revolution comes from within. Before any social change is created in the outer world, in the United States and abroad, it first of all begins within. True revolution is not imposed on us from some force ‘out there’. We create it; when we are ready for new growth and change, it comes easily.

You couldn’t wait to share this new idea with your friend, and expected that she would listen to you happily and embrace your new vision for your life.

You thought she’d be excited for you when you told her you’d decided to travel the world, or become an astronaut, or make a living doing your art.

You’d expected that your friend would embrace and support your dream, as you would embrace hers.
