It takes nerve to work for peace

Do you have the nerve to demand peace from yourself?

People who have the desire to end their inner wars, will be on the front lines of peace. The fight for peace begins within each of us. When you declare a ceasefire within yourself, you bring a peaceful vibration with you everywhere you go. It can be that easy, and there’s no need to be in effort at all.

There is a catch. The hard part is that you actually have to do it. It’s easy to set new intentions, and another thing entirely to do whatever difficult soul searching work it takes to carry them out. You don’t have to be perfect in any way to do this. Even if your life looks like a mess to you, everything can change, for the better.

It’s much simpler to send blame out into the world at all the warmongers living here. It’s so easy to be outraged at those who willfully sow discord to further their own greedy, power hungry, control freak agendas.

If it wasn’t for them, we’d all live in harmony, right?

The problem with this way of thinking is that it very nicely leaves you and me out of it, and excuses us from having any responsibility or power. We do have responsibilities to create peace on earth, each of us.

Be honest with yourself and notice: are there any parts of your own life that don’t feel peaceful to you? Do you have any relationships that are a constant battle? What can you do to create a different energy, a more loving one?

Those with the vision to see what is possible on this earth, can begin to create it. Anyone who has the courage to see that peace is a very possible truth, and eternal war is only a lie we believe, will be able to also take steps to move toward that peace.

“For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson.
