Value yourself and others will follow

What if your real value is based on how you value yourself?

When you value yourself, you teach others that you have value, which sounds like a simple thing to do, doesn’t it? If you've been thinking it works the other way, and have been trying to find your value out there, rather than within, you've been depending on others to tell you what you’re worth. Or, you’ve judged your value based on how you think you compare to others.

Maybe you’ve measured your own worth by how much you get paid, what you have, how your body looks, or who you know. 'It’s not what you know, it’s who you know' may get you far in certain situations. But it won’t matter who you know, if you don’t know yourself.

Do you have value because others said so, or because you did?

If you are familiar with yourself, and love what you know about you, your energy will be attractive to be around. If you’re running at the vibration of validation, you’ll more easily attract people who want to validate you. Without saying a word, you are letting others know how you expect to be treated.

When you're validated from within, you are also more fun to be around. People can relax in your presence, because you're not divided about yourself. You have a vibration of peace running through you. Your relationship with yourself is the key relationship in your life. Do you take the time to get to know yourself? Do you know what you truly love, and what you really want? Do you value yourself?

Is it okay to just be you, even if others don’t get you, or are critical of who you are? Are you kind to yourself, kind to your body, or do you constantly criticize and find fault with you? You don’t need to be better than you are right now, or to fix anything about you, to have value for existing.

If you've been divided from within, you might find it helpful to take a step back and notice what kinds of messages you are giving to yourself. You can listen to yourself, find your true voice within, and you can realize your own value. You don't have to allow any other person to tell you what that is, or should be. Why not choose to decide for yourself?

The times we are living in demand that we value what has true meaning for us, and that includes ourselves.

The things you value don’t have to include all of the material goods, accolades, and status we are all taught to spend our lives pursuing. What you value doesn’t have to have meaning to others. This includes you knowing your own value - nobody else has to agree that you have value for you to decide that you do.

If you value democracy, fair play, people, human rights, and the earth over massive profits for the few - this is the time to make yourself heard. Please register to vote and show up for every election. You cannot change the hearts and minds of those who will not wake up, and you and I are not responsible for healing the earth. We each participate in creating healing together, when we find our value, our unique spirit, within ourselves. Capitalism has taught us all to pursue our happiness, value, and meaning outside of ourselves. We have been promised perfect successful lives if we would just play by the rules, become perfect ourselves, not question authority, and make sense.

At this point in our mutual experience here on earth, it has become clear to many of us that these were empty promises, and that the game we were brought up to believe was the Only way to do things, isn’t. A new kind of awareness and consciousness is spreading on earth, even as challenges build and problems seem to grow. People are waking up, saying hello to their own spirit, and growing.

The value you build within yourself when you bring your spirit along can never be taken from you.
