What does it mean to have your space?

As a psychic reader, I often look at the energy of having space.

Sometimes the person I’m reading has lost her or his space, given it up to something or someone else. Other energy has become more important in that person’s space than their own energy, needs, health, desires, dreams, or information.

This is a spiritual choice, and often an unconscious one. A psychic reading is a great place to say hello to this energy so that the person handling it can become conscious, and perhaps choose to let it go.

Currently many of us are working on where we have given up space to money and its ‘value’. When we give greater value to something outside of ourselves, we often undervalue the bountiful riches to be found within.

Embrace the unwanted parts of yourself and find the real you

Try this: get dressed up and go call on your inner demons, the unwanted parts of you.

Invite them for tea and cookies, gluten free if you prefer. Say hello to your unwanted bits when they arrive, and ask them to sit down and join you for a friendly chat.

Be nice, especially if you’ve gone out of your way to avoid them in the past. You might not have felt like being seen with them before.

Give it a try now, it’s worth it. They have some useful things to tell you, so try to listen without judgment.

The work you do on you, helps you to do your work

The time you spend giving to and healing yourself, is time well invested.

Sometimes I allow myself to get so busy with my work and activities that I run myself down. I’ve been primarily self employed for most of my adult years, and in my ever present enthusiasm to create my latest thing, I shirk my responsibilities to my body from time to time.

I know when I’ve gone just a bit too far over the line, because I hit one of those days where my body basically tells me, “no, you are not doing a thing today”. I’ve learned over the years that I have to listen to what my body needs if I expect to have enough energy to show up tomorrow and do my work, so on those days I do my best to give my body the rest it wants.

What does being psychic have to do with being in your body?

Being psychic has meant many things over the eons since psychics came to be.

Merely say the word out loud, tell someone you’re a psychic, or that you’re going to see one, and immediately that person will have a picture of what that means.

They may be interested, or frightened, or skeptical, tell you it’s not real, or ask you to prove it. They might tell you about their experience with psychics, or psychic abilities.

The great thing about being psychic is that you don’t need to prove it, and you don’t have to explain it away.

Grounding changed my life and helped me to heal myself

The first time someone taught me how to ground myself, I felt an immediate sense of relief and knowing.

A grounding cord was just the tool I'd been looking for.

For years I had looked for information about how I could heal myself. I knew that doctors didn't know everything, and I was tired of taking antibiotics.

I decided that I could and probably should be more involved in healing myself. I knew that it was possible to do this, but I didn't know how yet.

Grounding changes your experience of having a body

My entire experience of being a person in a body changed the day I learned how to ground myself properly.

After having a careless unconscious relationship with my body for many years, I was full of so much energy that wasn’t even mine, and that I didn’t know what to do with.

Like many people, I had believed the lie that my body wasn’t that smart, and that it needed me to tell it what to do.

Did you bring enough for everyone?

Is it possible for you to have what you want, without having to bring enough for everyone?

Or, are you responsible for providing for the others?

Do you feel guilty if you get a windfall, do well on a test, get the callback, win the contest, get the job, have the happy relationship – when there are so many others who didn’t, can’t, won’t, or don’t have? Do you have guilt about having what you want?

If you have been responsible for keeping it together for others in your life, you may have a hard time simply having for yourself.

Let go of the lies that keep you small and hidden

This week’s self healing tip: if you believe something about yourself that makes you feel like hiding, find a way to let it go. It is not your truth.

Only you can let go of the lies that hold you back, but you will need to first face them directly. What is this lie telling you? Do you know who or where it came from? Does it have a face and/or voice behind it?

Maybe you believed something someone told you a long long time ago, almost out of memory’s reach, and you’re still holding onto it as if it were your present time truth. You might have used it, this lie you are holding onto, as a support or crutch, an excuse.
